So I am finally getting around to learning the Twitter API in hopes of creating a page that I can use to post twitter updates without having to log into twitter.com. We will see how it turns out. Wish me luck.
Back at the beginning of February, Devon, Jackson and I took a trip to the Ice Works ice rink in Aston, PA to do some photography work for the new ice dance couple of Morgan Matthews and Leif Gislason. We knew going up there that some of these photos might be used on their official website. But as it turns out, the entire layout for their site uses my photos. This was really the first official shoot I had done for the figure skating world, and needless to say, I was a little nervous about the whole thing, but they took it easy on me and made me feel comfortable as a photographer. It was a total pleasure working with Morgan and Leif. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to do more shoots in the future.
Devon and I have signed up as ChaCha guides. It is a fun way to make some extra spending money by answering questions texted to the service from a cell phone. I have made about 8 dollars already.. W00t..
Try it out, text a message to 242242. Maybe she or I will answer your question.
Well I am in the market again for a new cell phone. I am just not sure which one to purchase. Of course I would LOVE to have an iPhone. I just do not think that will end up being a reality. You have to buy the silly data plan with all iPhones and that is $30 a month on top of the voice plan. Way to go Apple and AT&T, you now have one less iPhone customer.
So, the question now is, which phone should I get? Devon and I have our service with AT&T, so that limits us to their phones. I am looking at a few phones now.
They all seem like pretty good phones. I like the idea of having a slider phone, but I know the front screen will scratch easily. I really like Motorola phones. I currently have the SLVR which came with iTunes pre-installed. It was a great little phone. I am not sure if I would like the Blackberry as much, I have never used one, but the displays on theme seem really great.
I am not much of a txt’er, but may occasionally, and I know I will not be using it for internet access. So I am just not sure which phone to get.
Four days down and one to go until the weekend. I can not believe it. Devon, Jackson and I, along with her parents and brother, are leaving for the Outer Banks in North Carolina this weekend. We are packing up two SUV’s and heading down to the OBX Sunday morning and we will be there for an entire week. Our rented house will be there waiting for us to move in. We have planned a lot of great activities for us to do. We are going to the aquarium one day and Hatteras Lighthouse another. As for the rest of the time, we plan on staying out on the beach ejoying the nice weather and the company of family. Ok, I am sure we will do some souvineer shopping one of those days too, and I plan on picking up the obligatory OBX car sticker. Not the big round country code one mind you, but the more modern short oval shaped one that looks like a surfboard.
I have had my Scion xB for 2 years now. There are no stickers anywhere on the car. I am hoping to change that with the OBX sticker. Which reminds me, I have wanted to try and find an Apple logo sticker. I know I know, I should not get one until I own a Mac, but I do have an iPod and I love it and want to show my support for Apple. The iPod came with two tiny Apple logo stickers. One is on my Dell Laptop (more about this below) : ) and the other Devon put on my razor holder (silly Devon). So, I really want to find one of those. I will probably have to order them from somewhere or break the bank and buy a Mac (not likely).
So I do have one of those little Apple stickers on my Dell Laptop. The reason? I have known for awhile that you could install the Mac OSX operating system on regular PCs if you can find the right version of the OS that has been hacked. And after a year of waiting and trying the find the right version, I actually installed OSX on my Dell. Everything was working great except the video card. While I could still see the images on the screen, they were stretched because I have a widescreen monitor(16:9) on my laptop and the resolution for the OS was for a typical monitor(4:3). I could not find the right video driver to make it work correctly. So when I realised that it was as good as it was going to get, I reinstalled Windows (BOO). Do I regret trying to install OSX? Not on your life. You should have seen the look on my face when the computer actually booted into OSX with no errors. I was like a kid at Christmas. It was awesome to know that I was ‘that’ close to having a fully functional OSX install on a PC. Will I try to install OSX again? Yea, probably at some point. I would like to wait until I have another laptop before I try it again though. It is a pain in the rear to keep reinstalling Windows and all related software. It was fun though. I have a few pictures from the install process here. I should have taken some after I had OSX installed. Darn. Maybe next time! : ) Thanks for reading.
Well as you can tell, I have redesigned my site yet again. I thought it would be best to have the blog and other content pages visible from the main page. I have moved the photo gallery to gallery.adamtstein.com. If you have had a photography session with me, your original link will take you to the galleries new location.
